Basic Float Fishing Rig

A simple float rig which allows you to fish the bait away from the bottom.

Species:

Mackerel, Garfish, Pollack, bass. Anything which feeds away from the bottom.

How to Build:

Onto the mainline, slide a bead, float (top first!), lead, bead and then tie on a swivel. Attach your hooklength and then the hook.

Tie a stop knot where you want to set the depth which depends on the species you are after.

Components Needed:

Float,
2 beads,
lead (appropriate weight to float),
swivel,
hooklength,
hook (size appropriate to species)

Ground to use on:

All, doesn't matter as you don't touch the bottom!!
